WITH:
Samantha Beasley & Thomas Radtke
What:
In this workshop we will be focusing on the following Primal Movements: crawling, deep squats, primal walking, nerve flossing, and somatic release through shaking. These are the functional movements that our ancestors naturally used throughout evolution. Through these movement explorations we can learn the ways our bodies are designed to move with the environment, rather than the environment shaping the way we move. Primal Movements lead to stronger and healthy joints, create more fluidity and range of motion in the body, improve brain body function by creating healthier tissue and longevity, and create optimal health for the body. Primal Movement is a rewilding technique that humbles the spirit and reconnects you to the earth and to yourself. We will be exploring things on and off the mat so come prepared to get a little wild!
This is an open workshop for all levels, but please be conscious that there is deep joint manipulation within the wrists and hips. Modifications will be provided.
Please bring a mat, a towel, water and wear long pants as we will be crawling on the ground.
