What is prana?
We hear the word “prana” a lot in western yoga culture. And guess what? We’re not talking about the brand “prana”, offering cute yoga pants and summer dresses… ;)
The most basic definition of prana is “lifeforce”. Specifically, it’s YOUR life force.
There are different types of prana that move you and your energy in different directions. How you breathe, how you move, what you eat, your digestive health, and even the quality of your mind can be connected to the flow of your prana.
Typically, we all appreciate a good night’s rest and energy needs to flow downward for that to happen. Working on a creative project? Invite energy to move upward and tap into your creative and mental capacities.
In our 200hr YTT we discuss the basics of prana and how to align your day with the basic flows of nature, and energy and attune your own lifeforce.
